Certification/Recertification Regulations
On or after July 1, 2004, a food establishment shall comply with the act, which involves one supervisory level employee attaining certification in an approved food safety certification program, like ServSafe®.
Are you sure you are in compliance?
The certified employee needs to register with the PA Department of Agriculture, and they will be issued a PA Food Employee Certification. Just attaining ServSafe® certification is not enough to satisfy the state mandate.
